Kimberly Kircher, MA, BCBA, Ed. D.
  Kimberly Kircher, MA, BCBA, Ed. D. Kimberly has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorders, and mental health issues, since 1998. Kimberly began her career as a home behavior therapist and instructional assistant in a high school classroom. While attending undergraduate studies, she concurrently worked in home-based programs and as an instructor in the areas of communications and pre-vocational support at a sheltered workshop and day treatment program for adults. In addition, she co-directed an adult services program. Kimberly also worked through several wraparound agencies, including Ken-crest and Indian Creek Foundation with both children and adults.

Kimberly received her Bachelors of Science degree in 2002, with a degree and certification in special and elementary education. Upon graduation, she worked for several years as a special education teacher in an autistic support classroom in South Eastern PA, utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior. In addition, she worked in consultative capacities in home programs. She went on to obtain her certification in behavior analysis and to become the behavior analyst in the district she worked, for both home and school programs. She later served as a training resource to the behavior analysts and ABA-VB programs and currently provides consultative services throughout her district in both regular and special education classrooms.

Kimberly has also provided behavior analysis and educational consultative services to other school districts, agencies (including the PA verbal behavior project), early intervention agencies, families, and many home programs. In 2005, Kimberly began providing consultation and behavior analytic services through the Verbal Behavior Network. In August 2005, she co-founded and became the president of the International Institute for Behavioral Development, Ltd./ Education Designers.  The purpose of the corporation is to provide training and consultation to school and home programs.

Kimberly created and presented the POAC of PA series in the fall of 2004 and the spring of 2005. She has also presented workshops and trained for the various entities for which she works.  Kimberly has presented 4 symposiums at ABA on Models of Intervention for Children with Autism, Training Models- staff training in public schools, Verbal behavior in Public Schools, and Functional Behavioral Assessment in Public Schools.

Kimberly has a Master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology with a concentration in addictions. She completed 700 hours of supervised fieldwork experience in an alternative school setting with adolescents. She has currently enrolled in a doctoral program to pursue her administrative and supervisory certificate, as well as a doctorate in special education.
